As dinner or the perfect appetizer, you are going to love this easy recipe! These Slow Cooker Sweet Kielbasa are coated in BBQ sauce and sweet syrup.

Slow Cooker Sweet Kielbasa

My husband loves kielbasa, so I knew this simple slow cooker recipe would be a hit. It works equally well as a crowd-pleasing appetizer or as a quick weeknight dinner served over rice with a salad.

Either way, your guests and family are going to enjoy these Slow Cooker Sweet Kielbasa. We plan to serve them at my oldest son’s birthday next week — it’s one of his favorites.

How to make Slow Cooker Sweet Kielbasa:

Slice the kielbasa and place the pieces in the slow cooker. Add the BBQ sauce, brown sugar and maple syrup, then stir everything to combine. I like to add just a pinch (about 1/2 teaspoon) of chili powder to balance the sweetness.

Cook on low for 4–5 hours until heated through and the sauce is bubbly. Stir before serving to coat the slices evenly.

Serving ideas

For parties, serve with toothpicks for easy snacking. For an easy dinner, spoon the kielbasa and sauce over steamed rice and serve with a vegetable or a simple salad. These are also great alongside mashed potatoes or tossed into a hearty grain bowl.
