Hi—I’m Liz from Liz on Call. I’m thrilled Julie invited me to share one of my favorite easy party punch recipes here on Bread Booze Bacon. I don’t drink alcohol, but I love a well-made drink, usually of the virgin variety. When I do want a boozy version, Julie is the one I trust to mix it up—she has some fantastic drink recipes.

I developed this hurricane party punch as a versatile base that works for family-friendly gatherings or, with an easy boozy tweak, for grown-up parties. We both loved how fresh and tropical it tastes. It’s simple to make ahead and is a great addition to any celebration.

I couldn’t resist photographing the garnish sticks—they’re pretty and they make the drink feel extra special.

Ingredients
Punch Base
- 2 cups orange juice
- 1 cup lime juice
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- ½ cup passion fruit syrup
Add-Ins
- 6 ounces grenadine
- 7.5 ounces silver rum
- 3 ounces dark rum
- Ice
- 6 Orange slices for garnish
- 6 Lime slices for garnish
- 6 Maraschino cherries for garnish
Instructions
-
Stir together the orange juice, lime juice, pineapple juice, and passion fruit syrup in an 8-cup measuring cup or a pitcher.
-
Chill the punch base in the refrigerator until ready to serve—at least 1 hour is ideal but optional.
-
To serve, fill a glass with ice and pour in about 6 ounces of the punch. Choose your add-ins and combine them with the punch.
Boozy version: Add 1 1/4 oz silver rum and stir, then float 1/2 oz dark rum on top.
Non-alcoholic version: Add 1 oz grenadine instead of the rum.
-
Garnish with orange and lime slices and a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Nutritional information refers to the punch base only and does not include add-ins.
- The punch base makes just over 1 quart. Double the recipe to serve a larger crowd, and decide whether to use the boozy or non-alcoholic add-ins. Mix everything in a pitcher for a pre-made party drink.
Make it for a crowd: (2-gallon punch bowl)
- 14 cups orange juice
- 7 cups lime juice
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 3 ½ cups passion fruit syrup
- Non-alcoholic: add 1 cup grenadine
- Boozy: add 1 cup silver rum and ½ cup dark rum

Easy party punch recipes are some of my favorites to make. I keep a few basics on hand so I can mix a delicious drink whenever guests arrive. Other punches I love include a mai-tai mocktail party punch and a raspberry crush party punch, which is a kids’ favorite.
