How to craft this Mother’s Day printable

Start by cutting out all pieces with a paper trimmer or scissors. Use a ruler or scoring tool to help make precise folds.

Accordion-fold the two diagonal striped strips every 1/2 inch to create the medallion’s ruffled edges. A scoring tool helps produce clean, even folds.

To assemble the medallion, a hot glue gun is handy. Place a generous dab of hot glue in the center and press the folded pieces into place, holding until set. Adding a small piece of chipboard beneath the center makes the medallion more sturdy.

Here’s the finished medallion assembled. For variety, the download also includes alternatives like “Best Hairday Ever” and “Best Day Ever,” so you can adapt the design for other occasions.

Use the finished piece as a wearable medal by attaching ribbon, add it to a Mother’s Day card or gift sack, or turn it into a cake or cupcake topper for a special touch.
